"Meticulous, and revelatory, accessing a domain of curvilinear motion."
— Thomas Lynn
I was born in Camp Pendleton, California, and began dancing at the age of ten. While training on Guam with John Grensback, I was offered my first apprenticeship with the Corpus Christi Ballet. In 1998, I joined the fledgling Carolina Ballet as an apprentice under the leadership of Robert "Ricky" Weiss. Post graduation, curiosity led me away from ballet, and I began to explore other forms of movement including the Alexander Technique, martial arts, and eventually yoga.
I received my RYT-200 accreditation at Laughing Lotus NYC in 2010, under the mentorship of Dana Flynn and Ali Cramer. As a designer, dancer, and preservationist, I have pursued the intersection of these disciplines with an emphasis on movement genesis and alignment. Returning to ballet study in 2018 as an adult student, I have pioneered the fusion of mobilities with the creation of Yoga Barre.
You can find my classes exclusively at Yogis Anonymous.
My passion project is the Ballet Archive, a conservancy project dedicated to safeguarding choreography for future generations.
